ABOUT CROFTS ELECTRIC

Ryan Crofts, Master Electrician and Licensed Contractor, opened Crofts Electric after achieving 14 years of advanced training and work experience. Ryan began his apprenticeship at T.E.M. Group, Inc. in Louisville, Kentucky. Ryan completed 4 years of schooling and on the job training there. He then passed his Journeyman Electrician Test on the first try. Ryan went on to complete 2 more years of extensive training and education to become a Master Electrician.

ELECTRICAL PROJECTS & EXPERIENCE

While at T.E.M. Group, Inc. Ryan worked on large commercial and government projects such as the Lexington KY "North Side Library", the University of Kentucky Water Cooling Plant, and Waste Water Treatment Plants at Town Branch and West Hickman. Ryan also performed extensive electrical retrofit upgrades at Shriner's Hospital in Lexington, KY, the US Veterans Hospital on the UK campus in Lexington, and both installed and upgraded runway lighting at Bluegrass Airport in Lexington KY, plus performed upgrades to the airport terminal.

Ryan then gathered more experience as a residential service electrician while working at A1A Electric, a 20 person firm located in Lexington, KY. A1A Electric focuses on residential service and small commercial projects. Ryan managed a service van there for two years and worked on several restaurant projects, plus numerous homeowner projects. One of the restaurants where Ryan worked as project manager was Smashing Tomato on Nicholasville Rd. in Lexington. While working with A1A Ryan gained insight into how to best accommodate homeowners and small businesses to give them five star customer service.

When a job opened at Arrow Electric Co., based in Lexington and Louisville, KY, Ryan won the position and transitioned into working again as an electrician specializing in large commercial electrical projects. As a journeyman electrician for Arrow Electic, Ryan worked on large projects for the University of Kentucky Hospital, the C1 Garage in Frankfort, and both the Powell County Detention Center,  and the Rowan County Detention Center. While working for these large companies, Ryan also worked for homeowners and did smaller projects on the side.

After 14 years of experience, it was time to create his own company... and Crofts Electric was born!

Crofts Electric, a subsidiary of RC Electric LLC, currently specializes in five star service and top quality electrical work for property management companies, discerning estate and homeowners, small and medium sized businesses, and Realtors. Ryans's expertise includes electrical system home inspections, electrical panel and service upgrades, electrical retrofits and upgrades, landscape lighting and design, and Smart Home Technology.
